The Topic

In response to numerous requests from FDSA members and recent conference attendees, Dr. Dan Becker's topics will be PRE-OP MEDICAL EVALUATION OF THE ANESTHESIA PATIENT & MANAGEMENT OF ANESTHESIA EMERGENCIES. The Seminar is open to doctors and dental/surgical assistants and will highlight pathophysiological principles that provide a foundation for preoperative assessment. Particular attention will be given to the most commonly prescribed medications, which not only reflect the nature and severity of specific diseases, but also present potential interactions with medications used in dental and oral surgery practice. Recognition and management of acute complications will also be addressed, including analysis of conventional therapeutic algorithms.

It is imperative that you and your team keep up with the advances in order to provide the safest procedures and environment for your patients. As the practice of anesthesia continues to evolve and advance, you want your entire team on the same page when it comes to treatment and patient care. Your success depends on it! Show your confidence in and appreciation for your staff's contributions to your dental practice. Encourage them to attend this course with you as part of a strategy for fostering a professional and safe office environment.
